Repair Products Testing

Refurbishments account for approximately half of all construction work. Repair, restoration and protective services are needed every day for structures such as parking decks, balconies, bridge piers, building, roofing and many more. Repairs can be performed using repair mortars, epoxy resins, polyurethane grouts, carbon fiber straps or plates and other types of repair materials.

Choosing a repair product for the job without understanding what caused the problem and the possible compatibility issues could lead to costly mistakes. Testing must be performed to make sure that the repair products meet all necessary criteria for the job.

“We perform a wide range of the testing on all repair products. We take pride in our work and promise to give you the most accurate answers possible.”

Our Accreditations

Our testing laboratory is approved and/or inspected by A2LA, AMRL (AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory), CCRL (Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory) and the approved list for US Army Corps of Engineers test laboratories for concrete and masonry testing.  Our laboratory accreditations include: ISO 17025, AASHTO R18 and we are an approved laboratory for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Our employees are active members in ACI, ASTM, ICRI, FRCA, ASCE and SWRI. Several TEC employees are current or past committee members, committee chairs, board members and presidents of the local and national chapters of these organizations.

We work closely with ASTM in the development of aggregate, concrete and masonry test methods, testing guidelines and specifications.

A basic list of some of the testing our laboratory provides is listed below. This list consists of ASTM tests that we perform on a regular basis. If a test is desired that is not listed below, please call us and inquire for further details.

We also perform testing required by most DOT Specifications.
